Income Adequacy
UKCAP believes that everyone is entitled to an adequate income. We believe that it is inexcusable that people in one of the richest nations in the world continue to be socially excluded and not have enough money to live in dignity.
Income adequacy is not just about the money in your pocket, but also your access to good services: both of these have an impact on your ability to feel fully included in society. We want everyone to have sufficient income to live well.
We believe that to have a real chance at eradicating poverty, the Government must address income adequacy issues. This is why UKCAP is working with its member organisations to put income adequacy at the heart of Government policy.
